The Letter Piece Company is dancer Shila Anaraki, light designer Tom Bruwier, keyboardist Mark Knoop, guitarist Tom Pauwels, composer Matthew Shlomowitz, recorder player Tomma Wessel.
The group was formed in 2008 to perform Matthew's Letter Pieces - short duo performance pieces that combine physical actions, text and sound.
In 2010 LPC created an hour long show for the Transit (Leuven) and Huddersfield music festivals, performed again at the Chisenhale Dance Space (London) and Soundwaves (Brighton) in July 2011. The show featured two new Letter Piece quartets by Matthew and Shila.
In 2011 LPC is working on an hour long piece called A to Zzz. The work will be premiered in February 2012 at Vooruit (Gent) who is producing the work. We are also supported by the Brussels based artslab PianoFabriek and the Flemish Community.
